Chief Superintendent Greg Wild joined FRNSW in 1984. He was promoted to Chief Superintendent in 2013. He has filled a number of executive roles within FRNSW and is currently Assistant Director Operational Communications.
He deployed to the Christchurch earthquake in 2011 and recently deployed to Vanuatu as the Taskforce Leader USAR after the impact of Tropical Cyclone PAM.
He is a member of the National Emergency Communications working group, the SMS to 000 working group and the Emergency Call Service Advisory Committee. He is heavily involved in emergency services work, meeting the challenges of evolving technology.
His current role within FRNSW sees numerous challenges within the emergency communications environment. The changes occurring in next generation (NG) technology mean the task of coordinating a response to emergency incidents is an ever challenging one.
