A ‘smart world’ – so what?

Friday 15 June: 1.30-2.00pm

The acceleration of change in how we communicate is driving new eco systems of service offerings and partnerships; technology provides new applications making our lives easier and safer.
Existing wireless infrastructure is essential in supporting the growth and development of critical communications particularly with the introduction of 5G. We all have devices with cellular connections that are always on, a reliable and ever-present wireless environment presents the opportunity to enable better (public) services including Smart City solutions. But what does a “Smart City” look like? How will we benefit from the Internet of Things (IoT)? What can I offer to my constituents? New offerings will cover software (cloud) and hardware (Multi-Function poles) including light, CCTV, IoT and advertising. Business models and customer expectations are changing.
Axicom is Australia’s leading provider of independently owned wireless infrastructure and is well positioned to advance the eco system of critical communications across communities.
